Oak Tree – Quercus
Oak Tree; common oak, tanners bark. (Quercus spp.)
Part used: the bark
Slightly tonic; highly astringent; antiseptic.
Very good for chronic diarrhea ; dysentery as a decoction and used as a gargle for sore throats.
may be used as an injection for leucorrhea and applied locally for piles and bleeding gums, tightening skin.
Water distilled from the oak buds is said to be good for any kind of inflammation.
Administered as : fluid extract, infusion, tincture, injection.
